Holly-Ann(Grandaughter)is 5yrs old today

Morning well today is the day my grandaughter Holly-Ann has been counting down the sleeps to-she is 5yrs old and coming later to pick up her presents which she wanted all wrapped please!they are both feeling a lot better and her Mum and Dad are both cursing calpol as after having a couple of days worth felt well enough for an hour in the garden-during which they took a screwdriver, levered the lid of a tin of emulsion in the shed!and painted each others hair and clothes!!!cue a phone call from Matthew asking how to get paint out of hair without resorting to turps-which in case you need to know is just shampoo left in for 10 mins then a fine tooth comb see easy eh lol.Would have loved to have seen them though. This is my card for Holly because as soon as I saw this image it reminded me of Holly-Ann.Yesterday I spent the day with my eldest son Paul and grandson Jozef, after feeding him his "lunch" -dinner to me lol we went shopping for his first pair of shoes-which was no hassle at all completely different to when I went with Ellie and Holly for new school shoes an absolute nightmare!!!He now has six teeth and crawling all over and walking round the furniture seems quite advanced for 9months or I could be biased.
The fantastic image and sentiment "Always Do your Own Thing" is from Squigglefly coloured with promarkers, cardstock from Papermill Direct,B.paper/New Arrivals from Forever Friends, alphabet and number buttons from Hobbycraft, ribbon from stash.

Happy Birthday to Holly-Ann ....oh, how exciting to be a big 5 year old. I imagine that Holly-Ann with be even more excited when she receives this stunning birthday card later Carol. Oh, it's gorgeous and has all the pretty touches that a special 5 year old loves.

What a brilliant sentiment ...I think we could all take that to heart. Just one question and shhhhh, you can whisper the answer as I'm good at keeping secrets..... is Holly-Ann the little girl hanging upside down in this image that made you think of your lovely birthday granddaughter?

Oh Carol, I'm chuckling so much at the pranks your thankfully recovered granddaughters have got up to with the paint. A similar thing happened many moons ago when my own Dad insisted he could look after my 2 year old brother and me, a year older, whilst decorating so that Mum could nip to the shops. My brother tipped the entire can of paint over his head. Mum came home to find she now had a Blue Boy in the bath and my Dad attempting to restore order. .... With a big bottle of Turps. What a pity for my brother that you are much to young to have shared your wisdom of today with my Dad.

Oh, and I'm certain that you are not biased about Jozef ....He sounds very advanced, strong, healthy and happy. I love hearing about him ....and the girls too so please continue being the proud grandma xx

Love Ingrid xxx ♥ ♥ ♥

Kids, who'd have 'em lol? Apparently, when I was a toddler I managed to open a tin of paint on the stairs and get it all over me, the new stair carpet, etc . Must have been a crafter at heart even then :-) fab image and great card. Maddy x
